As the Associate Director Margaret's responsibilities include advising students and faculty on a portfolio of programs. She works along with program leaders in coordinating program excursions, activities, and student visa processing. Margaret was drawn to becoming a professional in the field of study abroad following her extensive first-hand experience as a student abroad. Margaret studied with two European programs while earning her B.A. in Fine Arts and Communication at Wayne State University. Her initial study began with intensive Spanish language courses at the University of Barcelona, Spain during the summer of her sophomore year. She later studied Italian language, in Italy, through a WSU, faculty-led program during her senior year. Between semesters of obtaining her undergraduate degree, Margaret lived and worked in the Caribbean, where she was able to experience first-hand knowledge of travel and the industry by working in primarily tourism-related positions. Margaret is now working on her M.B.A. in International Business.
